Originally established in February 2021 as a project focused on applied research, technological innovation, and communication impact, Democracia em Xeque evolved into a nationwide institute in December 2023. Its mission is to broaden the scope of knowledge production aimed at countering disinformation campaigns, hate speech, and violent political extremism.
