João Guilherme Bastos dos Santos was present as a guest at the seminar Advisory Commission against Disinformation (government of Chile) organized by ministers Aisén Etcheverry Escudero (Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation) and Camila Vallejo Dowling (Secretaría General de Gobierno) to present the commission's first report. The invitation occurred during a visit as a guest researcher by Marcelo Luis Barbosa dos Santos (UDP Researcher and Núcleo Milenio para el Estudio de la Opinion Pública, Política y Medios en Chile – MEPOP).
On the occasion, João Guilherme Bastos dos Santosem gave an interview to the “Estudio de Televisión da Escuela de Periodismo UDP”, with the title “Analysis of networks and desinformación: the (brutal) Brazilian experience”, as part of the Charla Ciclos da UDP (Facultad of Communication and Letters); taught a workshop on using the R language to analyze online social media platforms; presented methods and debated with researchers from the Centro de Investigación en Comunicación, Literatura y Observación Social (CICLOS); and produced the report Informe sobre percepción de la Comisión Asesora contra la Desinformación en YouTube, together with Marcelo Luis Santos, published by Democracia em Xeque and presented to the Comisión Asesora contra la Desinformación by the Chile-based.
