The Executive Director of Instituto Democracia em Xeque, Fabiano Garrido, participated in the panel “The Brazil Experience: what worked, what didn't” during the international event “Disinfo and Elections in the Global Majority” in Rio de Janeiro. The session aimed to present multisectoral perspectives on the experience of combating Brazilian disinformation in the 2022 election. Fabiano Garrido highlighted that the national context offers a set of lessons that worked through a successful articulation between civil society actions and the judicial power. 

The panel also included the participation of Nina Santos (misinformer), Humberto Ribeiro (Sleeping Giants), Samara Castro (Secom-Governo Federal), José Fernando de Moraes Chuy (TSE) and Natasha Felizi (Serrapilheira).
