DX researcher presents narrative map of disinformation on networks during floods

Between the days September 21 and 27 takes place in Delhi, India, Global University of Work Annual Conference (GLU, in the English acronym). Seminars and workshops are part of the program that takes place at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

As part of the schedule, Ma. Agnes Franco (University of Sao Paulo – USP), DX researcher, presented the panel “Climate denialism, climate migration and the impacts on the working class from the flood in Rio Grande do Sul”. A narrative map drawn up from the circulation of disinformation on social media was presented on 22 September as part of the content. Also taking part in the seminar were Dr Devan Pillay (Director General of GLU at the University of the Witwatersrand – WITS, South Africa) and Ma. Auronganjeb Akond, (Mawlana Bhashani University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh.)

The current conference has 40 participants during the first three days (workshops), and about 100 members of the international network on the last days of the event. The Global University of Work master's programs and extensions are held in Brazil (Unicamp), the United States (Pennstate University), Germany (University of Kassel and Berlin School of Economics and Law), South Africa (WITS University), India (JNU University) and Diliman University of the Philippines.
