Agência Pública | Candidates violate electoral rules and use AI image to criticize Lula over fires
Written September 2, 2024
A Public Agency reports that candidates are using images generated by artificial intelligence (AI) to criticize the Lula government in relation to the fires, without informing that the content was produced by AI, which is a violation of the electoral rules updated by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in 2024. Tatiana Dourado, researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy and director of Democracia em Xeque, states that the use of these images combines humor with radicalized politics to attract voters, increasing the reach of extremist accounts and enhancing disinformation in the electoral debate.
