The magistrate's name was boosted, especially by profiles linked to the right, after he presented a dissenting vote from those registered by other ministers so far, as pointed out by a survey from the Instituto Democracia em Xeque. Fux defended the annulment of the process due to the court's incompetence to analyze and judge the case, disagreed with the conviction of the eight defendants for some of the crimes presented in the PGR's (Attorney General's Office) indictment, and aligned himself with the right-wing criticism of Moraes's conduct.
