A survey by the Democracy in Check Institute shows that the minister's opposing vote monopolized attention in the digital media.
The long vote by Minister Luiz Fux, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), last Wednesday, the 10th, moved the internet and caused the judge to have an exponential growth in mentions on the networks.
According to the Democracy in Check Institute (DX), which monitors political discourse online, Fux received 2,8 million citations — 99% of which were cited between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday, the 11th. According to DX, the minister's vote in the trial of the crucial core of the attempted coup, in which former president Jair Bolsonaro is one of the defendants, dominated the digital debate, consolidating him as the center of the narratives.
