Justice and society have everything to gain from a return to discussion regarding ethical issues.

O The Democracy in Check Institute conducted a survey. The study analyzed social media to measure the level of messages that seek to delegitimize the Judiciary, particularly with attacks on the Supreme Federal Court and the Superior Electoral Court and their ministers. The work analyzed the content of thousands of posts from 2022 to October of this year that discuss censorship, concentration of power, and alleged attacks on the freedoms of Brazilians—themes that are frequently used to criticize and disqualify, almost always in a frivolous manner, the actions and behavior of magistrates. There are, however, exceptions that end up fueling some theories. On Tuesday the 16th, the Federal Police arrested Judge Macário Júdice Neto, of the Regional Federal Court of the 2nd Region, accused of leaking information about a confidential investigation to a state deputy from Rio de Janeiro. The judge and the politician were friends. An exchange of messages between the two was used to show the level of the relationship: “Dear brother, good afternoon! Can you get four tickets for the Flamengo x Ceará game?”, the magistrate asked. "Even if I have to break down the gate, I'll find a way," promised the congressman, who was also arrested.
