Veja | Survey shows broad dominance of right-wing politicians in the Pix war
Written January 22, 2025
Study carried out by the Democracia em Xeque Institute verified the repercussions of the revocation of the new PIX monitoring rule, between January 15 and 19, finding more than 640 thousand publications, which generated around 6.8 million engagements on social media and 989 messages from 98 groups and channels on Telegram. A movement was observed from the progressive camp to denounce the extreme right for spreading fake news on social media and criticizing the communication of the Lula government, which failed to clarify such rules. In turn, the conservative camp celebrates Nikolas Ferreira as a hero and tries to mobilize a revolt against the government based on the false taxation of PIX.
