PL 2630 Study on the recommendation system on YouTube

Between April 25th and May 05th, 2023, daily video collections were carried out using the YouTube API v.3 through YouTube Data Tools, a tool from the University of Amsterdam, with the aim of simulating the various possible responses that users receive when searching for information about PL2630, as well as other videos recommended by the platform after viewing each video present in the search results (considering the first 500 videos in the results). The terms of this search included “PL2630”, “PL 2630”, “PL das fake news” and “PL da censorship”. The recommendations made by YouTube for each of these videos were extracted, considering only those that involved videos present in the search results for the terms mentioned above.
