Repercussion of the US election on Brazilian social media, from an open network (X, formerly Twitter) and a closed network (Telegram), between November 2 and 6, 2024. On X, Donald Trump's victory in the US elections discouraged many users while bringing celebration to the Brazilian right, in addition to generating a series of memes. On Telegram, there was a strong circulation of misinformation (including old fake news, therefore already verified) and generated new hope among the right about a return of Jair Bolsonaro in 2026.
